From 2019 to 2024, Amanda Reichek served as Justice, Place 10, on the Fifth District Court of Appeals. While on the court, Reichek consistently received the highest rating from the Dallas Bar Association, and earned a reputation as a fair, serious, and hard-working judge. Based in Dallas, this is the largest appellate court in Texas, and it handles cases from six North Texas counties, including civil, criminal and family law matters.
Reichek is now running to return to this court. She will bring a wealth of experience, and a strong reputation for fairness, to the bench. Reichek has more than 20 years of combined legal and judicial experience. She has authored more than 500 appellate opinions and served as a panelist on a wide range of appeals. Reichek is Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Reichek is a graduate of Texas Tech Law School, with honors. During law school, she clerked for the Houston Federation of Teachers, AFL-CIO and Texas Rural Legal Aid. She went on to work in employment law at several firms before founding her own law firm, and currently serves at a litigation firm in Dallas. Reichek is the current Chair of the Appellate Section of the Dallas Bar Association, and has served as Co-Chair and Secretary. She is a frequent speaker on appellate law topics.
